From Greensboro:
From I-40 East, take Exit #266 (Chapel Hill/NC-86 South). Continue 4.5 miles into Chapel Hill . Once you cross Franklin Street, turn right on Cameron Ave. Proceed 1 block and take a left at the first light (Pittsboro Street). The entrance to the Carolina Inn is the third drive on the left.

From Raleigh and RDU Airport:
From I-40 West, take Exit #273-A (Chapel Hill/NC-54).  Follow NC-54/Raleigh Road for approx. 4 miles. (Once you cross Country Club Road and enter UNC campus, Raleigh Road becomes South Road). Turn right on Columbia Street (NC-86 North).  Proceed 1 block and turn left on Cameron Ave. Proceed 1 block and turn left at first light (Pittsboro Street).  The entrance to the Carolina Inn is the third drive on the left

From Durham:
From I-85, take Exit #174-B (LEFT exit) onto US-15/501 Bypass South, toward CHAPEL HILL.  Follow US-15/501 Bypass South for approx. 4 miles, then merge onto US- 15/501 South and continue for approx. 2.5 more miles. Once you cross I-40 and enter Chapel Hill , stay to the right and take the Franklin Street exit. In the downtown area, turn left on Columbia Street (NC-86 South). Proceed 1 block and turn right on Cameron Ave.   Proceed 1 block and take a left at the first light (Pittsboro Street).
The entrance to the Carolina Inn is the third drive on the left.
