| Dr. Donna Cookmeyer |
| Dr. Donna Cookmeyer is currently the Director of NC State’s Office of Technology Transfer. She earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also conducted postdoctoral research at NC State in the department of Plant Pathology for three years. She has co-authored numerous scientific publications in plant virology and a book entitled: “Women, Science, and Technology.” Before working in technology transfer, she spent five years as a funding officer in the Army Research Office, a basic research funding agency for the Department of Defense. During that time, she was an adjunct professor of Plant Pathology and an Affiliated Faculty member in the Women’s and Gender Studies Program at NC State. Dr. Cookmeyer has been working in technology transfer for six years and most recently came to NC State from Duke’s Office of Science and Technology, where she was the Associate Director. |
