David Sybert joined the UNC Coastal Studies Institute in May of 2009. Prior to this role, Dave served as an Educator at the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island. He has also spent time working in Southern California as a Marine Science Instructor.
B.S. Environmental Studies
Dave is responsible for working with John McCord, Education Program Coordinator, to communicate the research and activities of the UNC Coastal Studies Institute to an assortment of audiences including local government officials, university faculty, teachers, K-12 students and the general public. He is a PADI Divemaster, SDI Scuba Instructor, 130ft certified AAUS Diver and a member of the UNC-CSI Underwater Production Team.
